Manila: Iconic boxer Manny Pacquiao has left the hospital where he was diagnosed to be suffering from a mild stomach ulcer.

Pacquiao was suffering from general fatigue and acid reflux. His aides also said the boxing champion failed to eat on time while campaigning for a congressional seat in the May 10 polls.

The newly-elected Sarangani congressman was brought to Cardinal Santos Memorial Hospital after he complained of stomach acidity and severe stomach pain on Sunday.

Pacquiao thanked well-wishers on Tuesday and was set to return to General Santos City.

In 2006, he was hospitalised, also at Cardinal, for the same ailment, his doctor said on condition of anonymity. The doctor added that the boxing champion has to take care of his body to win in his bout with Floyd Mayweather Jr.

Last week, Pacquiao said he was willing to take blood test to check for performance enhancing drugs 14 days or closer to the fight, but not on the day of the fight.

"I already agreed to a blood test 14 days before the fight on one condition, that they will not draw too much blood," said Pacquiao.

But Mayweather has insisted that his demand that blood tests be taken randomly and on the day of the fight, has not changed.
