Abu Dhabi: Pakistan riders Zafir Nawaz on Lautaro and Mohammad Asif on Milqvi completed a one-two finish for Al Ain Stables in the Shaikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Challenge II, a 100-km National endurance ride held at the Dubai International Endurance City on Saturday. While Nawaz made a winning debut in the sport, Asif had won this race when it was held for the first time early last season.

Shaikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Minister of Finance, attended Saturday's event which was held under his patronage for smaller owners - the private-owned stables and individuals.

Zafir Nawaz completed the 100-km distance in a timing of 4 hours 22 mins and 43 seconds while Mohammad Asif was second about six minutes later.

"This is my first competitive ride. I thank my stable bosses for giving me this chance," said Nawaz.
