Meet Arat Hussaini, the 2-year-old Iranian gymnast who can already perform some of the toughest poses in the sport.

The boy from Babol in Mazabdaran Province is already accomplished at moves including the balancing splits, somersaults and daring swinging bar exercises.

His parents Mohammad and Fatemeh say he took up the sport when he was nine months old, according to the Daily Mail.

They say their son has had no professional training and practices for just 10 to 20 minutes daily.

“One day when I returned home from work and put my finger in Arat’s hand, he got up slowly and, gripping my finger very tightly, pulled his legs off the ground,” Mohammad told the Mail.

“At that time I noticed the strength and power Arat had and was very surprised. Arat’s favourite trick is performing a backwards somersault.

“He is very playful and does about 20 minutes of exercise a day.

“All the videos on our Instagram page show the first or second time he has performed a trick.

“Usually he can do it easily after 10 minutes of practise.

“Arat is an extra special person and in sport he will be unattainable - he will succeed.

“My wish is that Arat finds a lot of good friends in the world. Success is our goal and we can finish.”
