Santosh Kumar and Anil Mohan entered the men's singles semifinal of the India Club Western Union UAE Open Badminton tournament.
In the quarterfinal match held at the India Club badminton court, Santosh Kumar beat Nuwah Abey Singhe 15-2, 15-8 while Anil Mohan got the better of Ajay Vase 15-4, 15-9.
Afshin Bozorgzadeh, the defending champion, also made it to the semifinals beating Vinod Kodackem 15-2, 15-4.
In the men's doubles quarterfinals Kamaludheen and Biju Mohan defeated James Varghese and Imran 15-4, 15-5. Earlier James Varghese and Imran reached the quarters beating Ryosuke Imanaka and Pradeep Laljani 15-5, 15-2.
In the veteran singles semi final Santosh Kumar defeated Abdul Salam A. A. 15-5, 15-3 to clinch a place in the final.
