Imanaka and Laljani pair stretched

Ryosuke Imanaka and Pradeep Laljani survived a scare from S. Habib and Andre before winning their men's doubles encounter in the Indian Club-UAE Open badminton tournament.

The pairing had to pull out all the stops before completing a hard-earned 15-12, 17-16 win.

In another rather well-contested match. Thomas Kurian and Arun teamed up to quell the challenge of Vijay Lachwani and Vishwa Mohan 15-7, 15-9.

Among the day's easiest winners were Sunil Singh and Sanjay Manghnani who did not drop a single game en route to a 15-0, 15-0 demolition of Sultan Ahmad and Amar.
