Dubai: First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) have partnered with the UAE Team Emirates cycling team ahead of their Tour de France debut this weekend. The deal sees their logo placed on the centre and sides of the team’s jersey. As well as brand exposure, the deal also meets the bank’s new social movement launched earlier this year, which focuses on supporting individuals, corporates and communities, it was said.
“We are investing our energies to create one of the most important cycling teams in the world and we are really proud to have First Abu Dhabi Bank on board,” said UAE Team Emirates general manager Giuseppe Saronni. “Both of our entities share the same values, and we are inspired to achieve important goals and grow together.”
UAE Team Emirates’ nine-man team will be led by Louis Meintjes, with Ben Swift, Diego Ulissi, Darwin Atapuma, Matteo Bono, Kristijan Durasek, Vegard Stake Laengen, Marco Marcato and Manuele Mori also looking for stage wins. The Tour de France is a 3,500-km, 21-stage, race from Dusseldorf to Paris from July 1-23.
