The second World Airline Bowling Championships (WABC) will be held in Dubai under the auspices of Shaikh Ahmad Bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President, Dubai Civil Aviation and Chairman of Emirates Group.

The event will be held at the Dubai Bowling Centre, Al Mamzar, from September 22-24.

As many as 28 teams representing international airlines from all over the world will be competing for the prestigious World Airline Bowling Cup over three days.

The tournament is to be played on the basis of team events consisting of four bowlers per team, the doubles as well as individual skills will be displayed in the singles trophy.

The inaugural WABC was won by KLM, who have confirmed their presence to defend their title.

Emirates Airline will be fielding a strong contingent of seven teams from various stations worldwide.

Meanwhile, Emirates Airline have formed a committee to ensure the smooth organisation of this high-profile event in the UAE.

Ashraf KK has been appointed as the vice president, while Shahid Aleem will be the tournament director.
