The UAE's Randa Emam clinched two medals on the penultimate day of the inaugural Arab Junior Youth Karate Championships being held in Cairo.
Emam clinched the gold medal in kumite in the under-57kgs Cadets category, while her silver medal came in the kata in the same weight division.
Emam was the sole representative from the UAE at the competition.

This is a second major success for the young karateka, who is an integral part of the national squad.
Emam was a member of the UAE national team which bagged a handful of gold medals at the GCC Karate Championship held in Doha last summer.
Emam is a versatile athlete boasting achievements in kick boxing and taekwondo as well.
Her presence at a first major international competition was at the Karate Golden League in Italy last year. Also attending the competition was the UAE's top karate fighter, Shaikha Maitha Bint Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
However, Shaikha Maitha was present in Cairo after being nominated as the new honorary president of the Arab Karate Federation (ABF).
The ABF is scheduled to meet shortly and formally ratify Shaikha Maitha's nomination as its president.
Shaikha Maitha was the first to congratulate Emam on her double success.
"Even though we participated with just one athlete, we are pleased to be in Cairo as this shows our commitment to supporting sports in the Arab world," Shaikha Maitha said.
"We are willing to fully support and endorse any such initiative like this competition," she added.
Boys and girls from seven countries took part in the first edition of this competition held in Cairo.
