Dubai: The second Dubai Fitness Championships will start on August 18. Qualifying rounds will run over three weeks at participating Fitness First leisure centres, ending on September 8, while the finals will take place at Dubai Mall’s ice skating rink on the weekend of September 12.
Shaikh Majid Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Culture, launched the event to highlight the importance of exercise. The idea of the championship is to find the fittest man and woman in Dubai. Thirty-six competitors in each category will compete for a prize of Dh100,000.
