Dubai: Mohammad Nasib, Shreya Singh and Sharif Al Amin were among the titlists at the Fourth Hassan Baddar Junior Squash Cup that concluded at Al Nasr Leisureland at the weekend.

Nasib won men’s divisions two and three, while Singh topped the girls’ under-19 category and then ended runner-up in the ladies’ section, while Al Amin figured with two runners-up trophies in the boys’ under-15 and under-19 sections.

Kuwait’s up-and-coming player Saif Wael Mohammad Haikal made his trip count by winning the under-13s category, while Mujtaba Raza of Pakistan eased his way to the boys’ under-19 title.

Organised by Al Nasr Leisureland under the auspices of the UAE Squash and Racquet Association (UAE SRA), the week-long tournament attracted 70 players from across the UAE and neighbouring countries.

Mohammad Ali, General Secretary of the UAE SRA, and Abbas Khan, head coach and technical advisor of the UAE SRA, were the guests of honour along with members of the Baddar family and Abdul Kader Yousuf, Executive General Manager, and CT Matthew, Assistant Operations Manager, Al Nasr Leisureland, at the tournament prize distribution.
