Chicago: Chicago’s Patrick Kane had a power-play goal and two assists to lead the Blackhawks to a 4-0 win over Toronto on Sunday, opening a three-point lead atop the NHL Central Conference.

Elsewhere, Colorado won a shootout at Detroit, preventing the Red Wings going top of the Atlantic Division, and Philadelphia won in overtime at Winnipeg.

The Blackhawks played with a “CR” decal on their helmets after assistant equipment manager Clint Reif died earlier in the day.

David Rundblad, Kris Versteeg and Jonathan Toews also scored for Chicago, while goaltender Antti Raanta made 31 saves for his second shutout of the season.

Toronto have lost three straight since a six-game winning streak.

Colorado’s Jarome Iginla scored in the ninth shootout round to lift the Avalanche to a 2-1 victory at Detroit.

Iginla got a wrist shot past Petr Mrazek, who had turned away six straight Avalanche shooters. Nathan MacKinnon and Matt Duchene also scored in the tiebreaker as Colorado ended a three-game road trip with five points.

Detroit had a 22-12 shots advantage five minutes into the third period, when Pavel Datsyuk wristed a power-play shot in.

The Avalanche tied it with 4:15 left in regulation when Erik Johnson scored on the power play.

Philadelphia goaltender Rob Zepp made 25 saves in his NHL debut to help the Flyers win 4-3 in overtime at Winnipeg.

The 33-year-old Zepp, who had played the previous seven seasons in Germany, was promoted from Lehigh Valley of the American Hockey League due to an injury to starter Steve Mason. The Flyers say he is the oldest goaltender to win his NHL debut since 1926.

Jakub Voracek scored the winner just 10 seconds into overtime for his second goal of the game.

Vincent Lecavalier had two third-period goals for the Flyers, who rallied from a 3-1 deficit.

Matt Halischuk, Mathieu Perreault and Byfuglien scored for the Jets.

Boston’s Loui Eriksson scored 2:14 into overtime to give the Bruins a 4-3 win against Buffalo.

New York’s Ryan McDonagh scored in the first and that held up to give the Rangers a 1-0 victory over Carolina.

Dallas’ Tyler Seguin had two goals and an assist, and then scored in the shootout to help the Stars edge Edmonton 6-5.
