Dubai: Shaikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, won the 120 kilometre endurance ride held in Italy on Sunday.
Shaikh Hamdan led a 1-2-3 clean sweep for the UAE when he finished first on Qhashmyr On Hazel. Abdullah Al Ghanim Al Marri on Wozzeck At Thaal was second, while Khalifa Ghanim Al Marri on Dac Dayre was third.
Shaikh Nahyan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Culture, Youth and Community Development, congratulated Shaikh Hamdan for his success against the top 80 European riders.
In a telegram sent to Shaikh Hamdan, Shaikh Nahyan said that the global sporting achievement can be added to the series of other successes of the UAE’s champion equestrians.
Ibrahim Abdul Malik Mohammad, Secretary-General of the General Authority of Youth and Sports Welfare, also sent a similar cable of congratulations to the Crown Prince of Dubai on his achievement.
