The Indian Expats hockey team put up a sterling performance in the Dubai super league being held at the Sharjah Wanderers club.

Captained by Raymond Pereira, the Indian Expats hockey team staged an excellent comeback performance after a gap of nearly one year.

In the first match they took on the strong local Dubai Creek team. They won the match 2-1. The goal scorers were Gilbert and Ryan.

Indian Expats hockey team is managed and coached by former UAE international hockey player Denzil D'Gama. They displayed their strength in the second match of the league, too, against Dulsco.

None expected Indian Expats to record a convincing win against Dulsco, which is one of the best local teams in Dubai. Indian Expats beat them 6-0.

The main goal scorer for the winners was Noel, who netted two goals.

Kishore, Sheldon, Gilbert and Sunil scored one each in their biggest comeback victory. Nine top teams in the UAE are participating in this tournament Axiom, Dubai Republicans, PCFC, Dulsco, Dubai Creek, Indian Expats, Sharjah Wanderers, Lusitanians and Elite.

The league matches are being held every Tuesday and Sunday. Two matches are being staged every day with the the first match at 8pm and the second at 9pm.
