Peter has emerged as a star on the sport’s biggest stage over the past three years by providing the high-quality darts to rank alongside his flamboyant walk-on, colourful dress sense and unique hairstyles.
Although he made his televised debut back in 1995, it would be almost 15 years before Scotland-born Wright began to break through on the PDC circuit, before a maiden ranking victory in 2012 helped to establish his status inside the top 32.
His progression towards the world’s elite continued during 2013 before he reached his first major final at the 2014 World Championship, losing out to Michael van Gerwen but securing himself a spot in the Premier League, World Series of Darts and the world’s top six.
Wright has since reached World Series of Darts finals in Dubai and Japan, losing out to Van Gerwen and Phil Taylor in the respective events, but is closing in on the first televised title of his career.
