Dubai: The most anticipated fight of the century is fast approaching as once-retired all-time great boxer Floyd Mayweather is set to take on UFC’s biggest star Conor McGregor in Las Vegas.

The professional boxing bout between undefeated 11-time 5-division professional boxing world champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. and the current UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor will take place in the T-Mobile arena on the Las Vegas strip in Nevada on Saturday August 26.

Due to the US and UAE time difference — the fight will be shown early Sunday morning, August 27, in the UAE.

1. McGettigan’s DWTC, JLT and Abu Dhabi

The three McGettigan’s locations will open doors from 6am to show the fight across multiple large screen TVs. Meaning a very early start for Dubai viewers. Get yourself prepped for the big fight with a full stomach and McGettigan’s signature breakfast — eggs, sausage, black and white pudding, overnight tomato, baked beans, flat cap mushroom and hash brown served with toast for just Dh79 at McGettigan’s JLT and McGettigan’s Abu Dhabi. 2. QD’s 2.0

The Money Fight’ will be shown live at QD’s 2.0 (Emirates Golf Club’s dedicated Summer Tent) with doors opening at 5.30am, with breakfast served from 6am.

For Dh110, fight fans will be able to choose from a full real English breakfast buffet. While a soft package might be the perfect way to start the day for those heading to work after the fight, guests can make a day of it as the venue is fully licensed. A Dh275 package is available to include breakfast and house beverages.

3. Barasti

With a large outdoor seating area and one of Dubai’s best live sport big screens, Barasti is a great spot to watch what could be the boxing match of the decade. Guests can tuck into English breakfast with coffee, tea or juice for Dh80. Barasti is open from 6am and entry is free. Breakfast is served at 7am.

4. Kickers

Kickers will be serving up a special ‘Heavy Weight Breakfast’.

The buffet style breakfast will have stations dishing up healthy (and not so healthy) breakfast favourites including freshly baked pastries and bread, seasonal fruit selection, a cereal bar with homemade granola, Bircher muesli, wheat flakes and an egg station. The ‘Heavy Weight Breakfast’ also includes unlimited tea and coffee as well as a fresh juice bar. Price Dh85 per person. Guests are welcome from 6am and breakfast will be served at 7am.

5. Perry & Blackwelder’s

This sports bar has you sorted with all the action from 3am onwards. Home to 12 big screens, and 11 TVs. With unlimited coffee and delicious breakfast bites from Dh60, chef Tony has also whipped up a week-long special of money cakes, a delicious cheesecake, topped with $100 bills, available in two flavours; Irish cream and peanut butter.

6. Bridgewater Tavern

The clash will be shown on all of Bidi Bondi’s 14 screens, as well as two giant screens so you won’t miss a single moment of the action.

The fight will be screened at Reel Cinemas in the Dubai Mall and Marina Mall as well. Showtimes are 5am, and tickets are priced at Dh90.

13. Fibber McGee’s

Our favourite, cosy, watering hole will screen the fight from 6am. The package will cost you Dh100 and includes entrance, your choice of beverage and a full Irish breakfast. Make sure you book in advance.
