Dubai: The line-up for the One Fighting Championship’s (One FC) ‘Reign of Champions’ event at Dubai World Trade Centre on August 29 has been confirmed, with three world championship bouts and six undercards scheduled.
Three Japanese champions — Shinya Aoki, Nobutatsu Suzuki and Koji Oishi — will defend their respective lightweight, welterweight and featherweight world championship belts against Iran’s Kamal Shalorus, the USA’s Ben Askren and Mongolia’s Naruntungalag Jadambaa respectively.
Meanwhile, the UK’s Christian Holley will take on the USA’s Roger Huerta at lightweight and fellow Brit James McSweeney will fight Brazil’s Cristiano Kaminishi at light heavyweight.
Brazil’s Herbert Burns faces Japan’s Hiroshige Tanaka at featherweight and the Philippines’ Vaughn Donayre will take on Egypt’s Mohammad Walid at catchweight.
Fellow Filipino Ana Julaton takes on Malaysia’s Ann Osman at flyweight in the only women’s fight on the card, while Thailand’s Dejdamrong Sor Amnuaysirichoke will meet Malaysia’s Ali Yaakub in the flyweight division.
