Dubai: All three fights of the co-main event were brief affairs with the UK’s James McSweeney the most impressive while knocking out his Brazilian opponent early in the very first round.

McSweeney is known as The Sledgehammer and is a five-time Muay Thai champion. After an initial testing of his opponent, McSweeney went for his opponent, landing a soft left followed by a solid right connection that floored Kaminishi. Even as the Heat Heavyweight champion scrambled with his legs, McSweeney went for the kill with a swift right kick that knocked off Kaminishi cold.

Roger Huerta won his Lightweight bout against Christian Holley from the UK after the referee stopped the fight following a flurry of kicks and punches from the international MMA icon from America had no response from his English opponent.

The third bout of the co-event was the only one that went the distance as Brazilian Herbert Burns won by unanimous decision against Japanese Hiroshige Tanaka. Burns was the better fighter and he managed to get Tanaka in an arm bend with one minute to go of the first round, only to see the Japanese squeeze away.

Burns continued his dominance in the second, but took a bit of beating midway through the third round. However, the Brazilian did well to recover and pin down Tanaka in an arm lock. But the judges decided that he had done enough damage in the first two rounds to hand the win by unanimous decision to Burns, who fights out of the Evolve Team.
