American boxing superstar Floyd Mayweather Jr. will need to shed at least three more pounds as his fight against Manny Pacquiao draws near on May 2, according to reports.

TMZ Sports reported that Mayweather hit the scales for his mandatory 30-day weigh in and came in at 150.5, around 3.5 pounds over the welterweight limit of 147. Mayweather will be fighting Pacquiao for the unified WBA (Super), WBC, WBO and The Ring welterweight titles.

Mayweather’s team, however, was not too concerned about the excess weight as Mayweather typically controls his diet and training closer to fight date.

As part of his training, Mayweather goes to a Cryotherapy Chamber in Las Vegas for a Subzero Recovery session after his daily training.

The cold sauna is reportedly used to help rejuvenate the body and promotes overall health.

It is said to help speed muscle recovery, decrease inflammation and muscle soreness after a workout.

Mayweather spent up to three minutes in the chamber at -200 degrees.
