Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather has lived up to his name by splashing $3.5 million (Dh12.8m) on a new supercar.

The American boxer posted this picture of the stunning 2015 Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse on Instagram.

But it's not the most expensive set of wheels in his fleet.

That accolade goes to this Koenigsegg CCXR Trevita, for which he says he paid  $4.8 million (17.6m).

The Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse is the fourth Bugatti in his collection, if his Instagram feed is anything to go by.

Here he is showing off a Bugatti Grand Sport Chassis 088 worth $3 million (Dh11m), a  Bugatti Veyron Chassis 116 worth $1.6 million (Dh 5.9m) and a Bugatti Veyron Chassis 101, also worth $1.6 million. That's not to mention the private jet parked in behind.

In this wider shot, also featuring the plane, the Bugattis are joined by two Ferrari 458 Spiders, worth $360,000 (Dh1.3m) each, a Lamborghini Aventador worth $390,000 (Dh1.4m), a $205,000 (Dh753,000) Porsche 911 Turbo S, and lastly a Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano worth $350,000 (Dh1.3m).

The combined worth of all these cars? A staggering Dh59.253 million, and there is no suggestion the collection is limited to what he posts on Instagram.

Mayweather, 38, announced his retirement from boxing in September after beating Andre Berto, the 49th win of an unbeaten career.

He is understood to have made $300 million (Dh1.1b) from his victory over Filipino Manny Pacquiao in May.
