Dubai: Filipino boxer Nonito Donaire beat Zsolt Bedak to successfully defend his WBO World Super Bantamweight title on Saturday. The boxer notched a third-round technical knockout win over the unheralded Bedak at the Cebu City Sports Complex in Cebu City, Philippines.

Donaire had previously held the WBO World Title in 2012 before losing it and the WBA Super World Super Bantamweight belt to Cuban Guillermo Rigondeaux in April 2013.

Donaire knocked down Bedak twice in the second round, with his lightning-fast fists showcasing ferocious power.

Bedak made it to the third round, but was stunned by a left hook from Donaire which forced him to his knees. The referee called time and ended the bout before any further injury could be caused.
