Dubai: Poster boy of the Philippines Basketball Association (PBA), ‘King' James Yap, will be present in Dubai when his side B-Meg Derby Ace Llamados take on Talk N Text Tropang Texters at Al Shabab Al Arabi Sports Club from 7.30pm this Thursday night in a PBA Governors ‘Middle East Swing' Cup match.

The 2006, 2010 PBA Most Valuable Player (MVP) award-winning swingman is famous in the Filipino community not only for his ‘Team Pilipinas' performances and PBA dominance, but also his off-court relationship with current President ‘Noynoy' Aquino's TV celebrity sister Kris Aquino — the daughter of the former Philippines president Corazon Aquino.

Dubbed the Philippine's version of Posh and Becks up until they announced plans to annul their 2005 marriage this time last year, the couple have one child together named after the star-player. Meanwhile both of them remain under constant media glare since the sensational break-up.

Celebrity-spotters, autograph hunters as well as hardcore sports fans can also watch Barangay Ginebra Kings play Talk N Text on Friday from 6pm at the Al Shabab Club, which is beside Century Mall in Al Mamzar.

Tickets are Dh150 for courtside and Dh60 for all upper and lower box seating. The matches are expected to be very well attended and televised live to the Philippines.
