Oklahoma City: Another NBA game, another triple-double for Oklahoma City point guard Russell Westbrook.
Westbrook posted his eighth triple-double of the season with 29 points, 12 assists and 10 rebounds on Friday to lead the Thunder to a 113-99 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves.
It marked the sixth time in eight games that Westbrook reached double figures in three statistical categories, continuing the red-hot play that has boosted the Thunder as teammate Kevin Durant remains sidelined with a sore foot.
Westbrook’s run of four straight triple-doubles from February 26-March 4 made him the first player since Michael Jordan in 1989 to string together that many.
Enes Kanter added 23 points and 15 rebounds, and Anthony Morrow chipped in 13 points for the Thunder, who are now tied with New Orleans in the battle for the eighth and final playoff spot in the Western Conference.
Thunder forward Serge Ibaka missed the contest with a sore right knee. Mitch McGary stepped in and scored 12 points for the hosts.
