Dubai: The first inter-school basketball tournament organised by the Dubai Modern High School has produced some close matches.
The match between the Millennium School girls and the hosts ended 8-7 while Our Own English High School, Dubai girls stopped Delhi Private School 23-22.
The Millennium School also edged Delhi Private School, Sharjah 14-13 with Arushi of Millennium top scoring with seven points. The match between Dubai Modern High School and St Mary's School, Dubai was also keenly fought with St Mary's winning the match 20-12. Kimberly of St Mary's top scored with eight points.
In the boys division, Indian High School, Dubai boys beat Our Own English High School, Al Warqa 32-26. The star of the match was Akash of Indian High School, who scored 10 points. Indian High School girls trounced Our Own English High School Sharjah 30-2 with Rachila top scoring with eight points. New Indian Model School boys from Sharjah whipped Delhi Private School, Sharjah 24-4 with Humair top scoring with 10 points. Indian High School scored 17-4 win over DPS Sharjah.
