Dubai: The Sharjah Ladies Club (SLC) basketball team beat Khorfakkan Club in their second match of the UAE Basketball Championship for women. The match took place on the grounds of Sharjah Ladies Club last Saturday. SLC beat Khorfakkan Club 118/4.
The first quarter started with Sharjah Ladies Club scoring the first points of the game by taking absolute and complete control over the ball. The SLC players seemed in great shape and were able to show off their athletic abilities and quick movements by not allowing any opportunities to the competing team and putting the final score for the quarter to 33/2.
The second and the third quarter saw a steady decline in the Khorfakkan teams' performance and their game seemed very weak.
The team lost many scoring chances to SLC and were not able to snap the ball away from their hands.
SLC took advantage of the weak performance and kept raising the score steadily to put the second and third quarter numbers to 41/2 and 22/0.
The final and fourth quarter saw a slight improvement in the Khorfakkan team's performance as they were able to score a few points, but SLC stayed ahead and won with a score of 22/4.
