Dubai: Kenyan national Omandi, who shared scoring honours with Binongo with 21 points apiece, grabbed 14 rebounds and two assists, to power Jumeirah International's win (83-67) over Dubai International.

In the PBA-Dubai Islamic Affairs & Charitable Activities Department inter-hotel basketball tournament at the Al Shabab Sports Club, Jumeirah signalled their intentions to beat the defending champions when they took the lead 22-12 in the first quarter. The lead ballooned to 36-26 midway in the second quarter, but Lito Saygo exploded with 13 points while Edwin Pimentel added seven in a 25-16 run to level the game 38-38 at halftime.

Debutant Sayon combined with Omandi and Jess Binongo in a 22-16 counter-attack to stretch the lead at 60-54 for Jumeirah going to the fourth quarter.

Binongo, Omandi, and Sayon continued the onslaught at the start of the last period pulling away 71-57 and never looked back.

In the other match, Crown Plaza remained unscathed in the standings when Tiongco led seven plays in double figures as they beat the hapless Al Murooj Rotana 130-57.
