The chairman of Live Free, one of the sponsors of the 26th Dubai International Basketball Tournament has vouched to back Arab sporting talent in the future.

One of the three main sponsors of this annual tournament while also backing Moroccan side AS Sale, Live Free was founded on the baack of an unprecedented success story in the Middle East within a short span of a couple of years.

Headquartered in London, the television channel is run with the help of thousands of Independent Marketeers (IM) in more than ten countries, including Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Libya and the UAE.

“The friendly match between Al Ain and Manchester City (on January 21) is one of our main projects and this basketball tournament has also been included in our portfolio as we believe in this event due to its rather long history on the UAE sporting scene,” Khalid Obe, Chairman, Live Free TV told Gulf News.

“As a company we are committed to the development of sports in the UAE and the Arab region at large, and we are willing to back and sponsor any team or individual who has the potential to shine on the international stage,” he added.
