Toronto: Miami’s LeBron James scored a season-high 35 points to lead the Heat to a 104-95 win over Toronto on Tuesday, and joined an exclusive club by passing yet another personal milestone.

Among other games, Indiana beat Detroit to remain the NBA’s only unbeaten team, Dallas had seven players in double figures as the Mavericks beat the Los Angeles Lakers, and Charlotte held on to beat a fast-finishing New York.

James also had a season-high eight rebounds and eight assists as Miami topped 100 points for the fifth straight game, extending their team-record run to begin the season.

Early in the game, James became the fifth player in NBA history to score 10 points or more in 500 consecutive games.

A four-time MVP, James joined Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (with streaks of 787 and 508 games), Michael Jordan (866), Karl Malone (575) and Moses Malone (526) as the only players to accomplish the feat.

Dwyane Wade had 20 and Ray Allen had 14 points to complement James.

Indiana moved to 4-0 for the first time in nine years by winning 99-91 at Detroit.

Paul George scored 31 points for the Pacers, who blew a 15-point lead in the first half but took control again with a strong third quarter.

Brandon Jennings scored 17 points for the Pistons, who were done in by their 5-for-25 shooting from 3-point range.

Dallas’ Monta Ellis had 30 points and nine assists to lead the Mavericks to a 123-104 victory over the Lakers.

Ellis was 11 of 14 from the field, made all eight of his free throws and had just one turnover.

Veteran Steve Nash was scoreless until the second half and finished with five points while Nick Young led the Lakers with 21.

Charlotte’s Kemba Walker scored 25 points and Gerald Henderson added 18 as the Bobcats held on to edge New York 102-97.

The Bobcats led by 13 in the third quarter before New York cut it to two points late in the game. Henderson hit two free throws with 13 seconds left and Walker one seven seconds later to seal the victory.

Carmelo Anthony scored 32 points to lead the Knicks, but was 10 for 28 from the field.

New York lost starting centre Tyson Chandler midway through the first quarter with a right knee injury.

Brooklyn’s Brook Lopez scored a game-high 27 points as the Nets beat Utah 104-88 to end a run of four-straight losses to the Jazz.

Deron Williams had 10 points and eight assists and got his first victory over the team that traded him to the Nets in February 2011.

The Jazz have lost four straight to start the season. They had lost their first three games by an average of 3.6 points.

Phoenix’s Eric Bledsoe had 25 points and Gerald Green tied a career high with six 3-pointers as the Suns rallied to beat New Orleans 104-98.

Houston’s James Harden scored 33 points while Dwight Howard added 29 points and 13 rebounds as the Rockets beat Portland 116-101.

San Antonio pulled away in the fourth quarter to defeat Denver 102-94, with Tony Parker scoring 24 points and Tim Duncan having 17.

Atlanta’s Al Horford had 27 points and 10 rebounds and Paul Millsap had 25 points and 11 rebounds to account for half their team’s score as the Hawks edged Sacramento 105-100.
