Indian High School romp to victory

Hosts score 4-1 win over EES Dubai

Dubai: Hosts The Indian High School Dubai (TIHS) experienced a comfortable win in soccer over Emirates English Speaking School Dubai (EES), 4-1 on the fourth day of the TIHS Dubai Sport Festival.

The first goal of the pool A encounter was scored by TIHS's Sahil Kumar thanks to a bad pass in the 9th minute, which was quickly equalised 6 minutes later by Umaid of EESS. Two minutes later Vishnu of TIHS scored through a penalty kick, and then Sahil Kumar again scored in the 10th min. Satej increased the lead 3 minutes before the end to complete the rout.

In other matches, The Millenium High School, Dubai, (TMHS) defeated New Indian Model School, Dubai (NIMS), 3-1 in the pool B match.

For TMHS, Shyam scored in the third minute of the start, followed by Chandiliva in the 12th minute through a corner kick. Captain Amogh, rounded out the TMHS scoring in the 13th minute. Jabir of NIMS scored the lone goal for his team in 14th minute.

On the Basketball court, Delhi Private School, Sharjah, registered an easy victory against the Indian High School Dubai's B team 2-1. In the next match, the hosts suffered an upset when they went down fighting against Delhi Private School, Dubai, 27-37 in the pool ‘B' league match. In the last match, Emirates National School, Sharjah defeated the Model School, Abu Dhabi 45-19 in the pool A league match.
