Sharjah : The Indian High School, Dubai, under-13 boys team have recorded a pulsating 43-36 semi-final victory over the New Indian Model School, Sharjah and reached the finals of Berry Hills 5th IBS basketball league tournament.
Trailing 3-10, 4-10 and 10-14 respectively in the first three quarters NIMS Sharjah suddenly found its offensive game in the last quarter and scored 2 against 19 points to force an extra time. Score 36-36. NIMS who lost their three main players with five fouls couldn't do anything in the extra period as Indian High easily converted 7 points to register victory. Score 43-36.
Meanwhile, Indian High School, Dubai thrashed City Sparks 39-3 to reach the under 13 girls division finals. Rachita top scored for Indian High with 10 points. Delhi private School, Sharjah also reached the finals after trailing 3-8 in the first half against DPS-Dubai. DPS, Sharjah blanked Dubai school 12-0 in the third quarter, thanks to their skipper Shreya Sadhu who scored 7 points in the quarter. Sharjah School scored 7 against Dubai's 5 points in the final quarter.
