Dubai: Four Teams featuring employees from different departments of Gulf News will compete in an indoor basketball event organised by the GNBA.
This is the 3rd Season that the tournament is being organised at an indoor venue and families and friends are welcome to watch the games every Friday.
Last year's champion team have returned to defend their title.
The format for the event is a four-team league with the teams competing for the highest points.
The GNBA tournament was secured by GNBA Commissioner Philip Suarez and President Jhun Rivera.
The event will begin with an opening ceremony featuring a colourful parade of the four teams — Red, Blue, White, and Yellow.
This will immediately be followed by a short and simple opening programme to be attended by Michael Condon, Production Manager.
During the tournament a live band from Gulf News staff will entertain the audience. The opening basketball games will be determined through drawing of lots. The first match will start at 5pm.
