Gazelles stand out in women's basketball league
Insportz Arabian Gazelles, Dubai overpowered Euphoria Intel Dubai Angels 51-24 in the women's division of Indian Basketball league tournament organised by Indian Basketball Society, UAE at the Al Shaab Sports Club, Sharjah.
Sharjah: Insportz Arabian Gazelles, Dubai overpowered Euphoria Intel Dubai Angels 51-24 in the women's division of Indian Basketball league tournament organised by Indian Basketball Society, UAE at the Al Shaab Sports Club, Sharjah.
Sharon led the winners with 16 points, while Galba and Roshini scored eight each and Meenal added seven. Tanya Flynn and Chloe Dorothy shone for Dubai Angels with eight points each.
Blade Watches got the better of DPS, Sharjah 35-15 in the second match of the women's division. Anita notched 14 points for the Blade Watches and Nandini provided 10 points.
Juliet responded with seven points for DPS, Sharjah.
Emirates National School Sharjah emerged victorious in the U-13 boys' league when they beat DPS, Dubai 52-30. Aamir led the way for the winners with 27 points, while Obaid netted eight and James scored five points. Jerry Bobby provided 11 points for the losers.
Modern High win
Dubai Modern High School beat Millennium School 40-11 and Our Own, Al Warqa won 48-16 over DPS, Sharjah in the U13 boys league.
Juliet excelled in the U-13 girls' match between DPS, Sharjah and Millennium School, Dubai by scoring 16 points out of her team's tally of 28 points.
