In a closely contested Final battle Federal Exchange-Irmit out played Media Com Homera 109-94 to take the Premier Postcard Millionaire Cup 2007, Ligang Pinoy basketball championship.
The final match held at the Dubai Club for Special Sports treated hundreds of Filipino basketball lovers with several thrilling game moments.
Earlier, in loser's final Haffar Shipping overpowered Café Rustica (86-81) and managed to secure third position in the tournament.
Leslie Almeida, Director Sales and Operations of the Millionaire Company and Beng Benavidez, Marketing Manager of Orlando Sports gave away the trophies and Medals to the winners. Marvin Gutierez of Federal Exchange-Irmit received the Medal for the most valuable player in tournament.
Shoot-out
Ramil Navarro (Media Com Homera), Paul Cuesta (Cafe Rustica), Ariel Corpuz (Cafe Rustica), Jiggy Apil (Media Com Homera) and Marvin Gutierrez (Federal Exchange-Irmit) were selected as the Mythical Five of the championship.
William Abad of Café Rustica was the free throw shoot-out winner.
The Millionaire Basketball Championship, which kicked off in September, involved 12 Filipino teams playing 71 exciting matches in total through an elimination round, quarterfinal, semifinal and the final.
