Los Angeles: The New Orleans Pelicans are playoff-bound for the first time in four seasons.

Anthony Davis had 31 points, 13 rebounds and three blocks Wednesday as the Pelicans snapped the visiting San Antonio Spurs’ 11-game winning streak 108-103.

The Pelicans clinched the eighth and final playoff spot in the Western Conference and will open on the road Saturday against the NBA-best Golden State Warriors.

Tyreke Evans had 19 points and 11 assists for New Orleans (45-37) while Eric Gordon and Norris Cole netted 14 and 13 points.

Tony Parker had 23 points, and fellow Frenchman Boris Diaw added 20 for San Antonio (55-27), who failed to clinch the number two seed in the West.

Instead, the reigning NBA champions tumbled to sixth and will open on the road against the number three Los Angeles Clippers this weekend.

The hot-shooting Pelicans led by 23 and 63-47 at the break behind 16 from Davis.

The Spurs made a game of it, pulling to within 104-101 on a Patty Mills’ three-pointer with 11.2 seconds left. But Jrue Holiday and Davis both made two free throws each to seal the victory.
