Dubai: The ANF All Stars, DPS Sharjah, NIMS Sharjah and Michi Basketball Academy were among the winners at the end of the Berry Hills 8th Indian Basketball League that concluded at the Salah Al Deen indoor hall last weekend.
The ANF All Stars reserved their best for the last to secure a 71-56 win over the Blue Rhine Eagles in the men’s division, while a youthful DPS Sharjah clinched a clinical 40-38 win over the Michi Jaguars to lift the KEF Trophy for women.
NIMS Sharjah claimed the boy’s under-19 title with a 52-43 win over DPS Sharjah, while Michi Basketball Academy rode on Afif Bellikunhi’s 25 points to thump defending champions Winning Champs 57-27 for the boy’s under-13 crown.
The men’s and women’s division winners were presented with their trophies by Sameer K. Mohammad, managing director, Jaleel Holdings and patron of IBS.
The two-month-long Indian Basketball League was sponsored by Berry Hills, KEF Company and Dr Sunny Health Care Group with support from GRP Industries, Arabian Coast Contracting Company, Skyline University College, Sharjah, Indian Academy Dubai, Reebok, Blade Watches and Eiffel Printing Services.
