New York: Aaron Hicks had four hits and six RBIs, Gary Sanchez hit two home runs, and CC Sabathia pitched into the seventh inning as the New York Yankees defeated the Toronto Blue Jays 12-2.
Sanchez had three RBIs and Matt Holliday added three hits for New York. Sabathia (6-2) struck out seven and has 2,779 career strikeouts, passing Frank Tanana (2,773) for fourth on the all-time list for left-handed pitchers.
Kendrys Morales and Ezequiel Carrera homered for Toronto, who were 18-10 in May. Blue Jays starter Marco Estrada (4-3) allowed seven runs, nine hits and two walks in 3 2/3 innings. He served up both Sanchez homers.
