Abu Dhabi: Christina Paul and Aswathi Prem of Our Own English High School (OOEHS) clinched top honours in the individual seniors and super-seniors category while their Dubai-based school bagged the overall championship in the girls division of the 22nd Inter School Athletic Meet for Girls of Private Schools in the UAE.
Apart from Christina and Aswathi, the school also produced another individual champion in Sonu Varghese who won the junior girls section.
Aisha Hana Latifa of Abu Dhabi Indian School and Nisha Joy of Dubai Modern School shared the individual award in the sub-junior category of this popular meeting which was organised by Abu Dhabi Indian School last week.
In the inters category Megha Manoj Nair of Delhi Public School, Sharjah came top.
In the overall championship, Our Own English High School, Dubai secured top position with 224 points, followed by Abu Dhabi Indian School with 214 points and Dubai Modern High school in third place with 183 points.
Girls from 16 schools across the UAE took part in the championship which was declared open by Namrata S. Kumar, Counsellor (Political and Information) at the Embassy of India.
