Doha: Lebanon will host the 13th Arab Games in 2015 as the Congress of the Union of the Arab National Olympic Committees is expected to approve the recommendation of its Executive Office in Doha Saturday.

Officials accepted on Thursday the application of Lebanon to host the Games following confirmations from senior Lebanese sports bosses, who showed the support of their government to their hosting application.

The meeting of the EO was headed by Prince Nawaf Bin Faisal, the President of the Arab Sports Federation, who announced that they have initially accepted the Lebanese application and will submit their recommendation to the General Congress of the UANOC, which will be held today (Saturday) to take the final decision.

Morocco had also applied to host the next Games, but the Lebanese file was more convincing to the EO membership, which was made up of representatives of Bahrain, Qatar, Syria, Jordan, UAE (represented by Sultan Bin Al Shaikh Mijrin), Sudan, Egypt, Lebanon and Palestine.
