Abu Dhabi: Alosh Casper Glen of Abu Dhabi Indian School (Adis) emerged as the individual super senior boys champion at the 24th Inter School Athletics Meet on Thursday.

The overall title at the event for boys from private schools in the UAE was won by Adis, who also hosted the competition.

Adis tallied 244 points to win from Al Ain Juniors, who were second on 171. Third place went to Delhi Private School, Sharjah, with 119 points.

Highly competitive

Altogether 22 schools from all over UAE took part in this highly competitive sports event.

While Glen was the champion in the super senior boys, Aaditya Harish of Delhi Private School and Farhan Ahmad Shad of Dubai Gem Private School won the individual titles in the seniors and inters categories respectively.

Juniors, sub-juniors

Mohammad Umer Faro of Al Ain Juniors and Adrian Jacob Mathew of the Millennium School, Dubai, won the individual championships in the juniors and sub-juniors categories.

Richard D'Souza, honorary treasurer of the board of governors at Adis presented the certificates and trophies to the winners in the presence of V.K. Mathu, advisor to the board of governors, and Adis Principal, N.C. Vijayachandra.
