After exhausting every ounce of energy in steering Team Eurosport New Zealand to victory in the maiden Abu Dhabi Adventure Challenge last December, Richard Ussher and his wife Elina are now reaping the rewards of their labour in the most luxurious style possible thanks to the Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority (ADTA).

Adding to their joy at beating the 24 other teams to the prize, the ADTA handed the couple, who were married last March, a pleasant bonus in the form of an all expense paid week's honeymoon in the UAE capital.

And the Ussher's took some time out to tell XPRESS about their delight at returning to the scene of their triumph.

"When we first came for the event, we said it would be a unique experience and fantastic to see another part of the world," said Richard, "When the opportunity was presented by the ADTA, it was fantastic. And we are really enjoying being able to come back here. Obviously we get to see the place more differently now."

Elina was just as captivated by Abu Dhabi's beauty as her Kiwi husband. "It's great to be back. The Emirates Palace hotel is awesome and everything has been really good so far," said the Finn.
