Sharjah: The Supreme Organising Committee of the Third Arab Women Sports Tournament (AWST) Sharjah 2016 has signed a sponsorship contract with the International Petroleum Investment Company (Ipic) stating that the Abu Dhabi-based petroleum company will be the gold sponsor of next year’s event.
The contract was signed by Suhail Mohammad Faraj Al Mazroui, Managing Director and Board member of Ipic, and Nada Al Naqbi, Head, Executive Committee, Tournament Manager and Director of the Sharjah Ladies Club’s (SLC) Womens Sports Department.
“Ipic is proud of our partnership with the Arab Women Sports Tournament, especially after winning the Shaikha Fatima Bint Mubarak Award for Women Athletes Sponsorship and Marketing category. Our sponsorship aims to continuously support and promote the different local sports associations, in order to further enhance the UAE’s prominent sports status both regionally and internationally,” said Al Mazroui.
