He beat Ahmad Al Kamaly of Hatta club 166-98 points in the elections which headed for the climax today.

Meanwhile, the row over the volleyball association's elections stayed unresolved with Al Nasr club claiming that they will be sticking to the results of the Volleyball Association General Assembly (GA), which gave their club presidency candidate Mohammad Jalfar as the president of the association.

This was announced in a statement by Mattar Al Tayer, the Al Nasr club deputy board chairman. The statement claimed that the GA accepted to carry on voting without the missed point and the result was a win for their candidate at 79-77 points.

Al Nasr club said the postponement of the elections was "illegal" and that was against the regulations of the associations and clubs (Article 21) which stipulated that the GA doesn't have the right to discuss a subject on which it had already taken a decision unless one year has passed from the date of the resolution.

Al Nasr's statement reveals a breach of election regulations when Masfout club, who voted for Jalfar 's opponent, was given more points than what they deserved.

They were granted three points for the youth under-17 team in spite of the fact that they didn't play in the under-17 league as the volleyball association's final standing of the under-17 league didn't include Masfout.

Al Nasr asked the GAYSW to ratify their candidate Mohammad Jalfar's victory as chairman of the volleyball association.

Meanwhile, Obaid Salim Al Shamssi won the presidency of the Handball Association when he beat his opponent Selayem Surour Mashaan of Al Ain club.

Al Shamssi, who won 121-54 for Sulayem, was a former deputy chairman of the handball association.

Following are the eight candidates who were elected for the board membership: Tariq Saqr bin Ghulaita of Al Nasr Club with highest points (169), Mohammad Al Yamahy (Al Ittihad, 163), Khamis Al Ka'abi (Al Ain, 160); Mohammad Al Suwaidi (Al Jazira 156); Ebrahim Al Nemir (Sharjah 149); Ahmad Al Merri (Al Shabab, 149); Ahmad Hamad (Al Ahli, 136) and Yousuf Al Batran (Emirates Club, 118).
