Sharjah: Sharjah Municipality and the Sharjah Charity Association will be supporting multiple charitable initiatives for the month of Ramadan. During a meeting held at the municipality headquarters, both parties agreed on joining efforts to facilitate Umrah trips for workers after the success of the first trip last year. They also discussed speeding up the approval process for Ramadan tents which will be placed for workers and intensifying food inspections to ensure that they are in accordance with the municipality’s rules and regulations. Also apart of the Ramadan initiative, a number of religious and awareness programmes will take place including lectures in several different languages that discuss religion and Islamic values. The municipality will also provide its support to the Sharjah Charity Association’s efforts to raise money for charity by publishing their charity ads on their website.
