Birds make great subjects for the camera. Gulf News reader Abdul Kareem took this photograph of a bird staring at the lens, at Rani Bagh (or Queen’s Gardens) in Mumbai, India. The 19-year-old Sharjah resident said: “It is one of the oldest zoos in the city and is located at the heart of the state. It has an amazing collection of wild animals, from land animals to marine life and birds.”
For Gulf News reader Stanley Robert, a weekend stroll at Jumeirah Open Beach in Dubai, turned into the perfect landscape for his camera. He said: “I came across three women who were enjoying feeding the friendly sea gulls. The scene of seagulls enjoying this feast against the backdrop of sun set provided an enthralling silhouette which I captured instantly. It appeared as if the birds, after enjoying their meal, were flying off into the sunset.”
