A very tragic and unfortunate incident. I pray to Allah to give peace to the families and friends of the ones who died. I was reading the comments and someone had mentioned about the use of mobile phones during flights. I have myself seen people sending text messages when the plane is taking off and not switching off their mobiles during take off and switching them on right before landing. Are they insane? Do they not hear the repeated instrutions that forbid the use of mobiles during the flights!!

May Allah rest thier souls in peace. this is now getting common all over the world. there should be adequate safety & security messures in place. both passengers & crews should stick with rules & regulations. using cell phones in planes are very dangerous. as you can see all these happenes due to the communication problems with the stations resulting in confused Air traffic information.

I have no idea to what extent this news contains the truth but It was shocking to hear that Air Blue charged full fare ticket from those who were going to Islamabad to search for their dearest ones. It is indeed very shocking, and travelling on Plane seems no more safe now, it is not the death of one person but the whole family suffers, I can just imagine the pain the passengers went through and hope it never happens again. God rest the souls of the departed - a most shocking tragedy indeed. One cant help but wonder why a 60 year old pilot who had retired from PIA was hired by Airblue in the first place! I doubt very much that the monsoon downpour was the reason for the crash. Airblue and the crash should be thoroughly investigated - budget airlines (which are not well regulated to begin with insofar as domestic air travel is concerned) should not be allowed to play fast and loose with the lives of its passengers. A horrible, horrible tragedy......

Very Tragic accident... May Allah rest their soul in peace and Jannah. Apparently it is Pilot's mistake. Pilot is very important and sensitive role who carries many lives on his shoulder and should execute his job with ero error and there must age limitation rule for that role. Unfortunately Pilot was retired from PIA and 62 years old who under estimated weather conditoins and became over confident and went into no fly zone. May govt consider this and enforce rule on all airlines.

My cousin was also in this flight, may god bless all soul and give comfort and patience to families and affected. But one thing i would like to bring to attention that air blue has less staff and not properly maintain air-crafts. the caused of incident may be due to this.... now its depent on authoririties to investigate in proper way and banned such airline which can't compete with int'l civil aviation rules to save life of thousands in future.

I was in office when my collegue said that there is a plane crash in Islamabad, I immediately call my elder brother in Islamabad, Pakistan who did inform me the details from TV news. Really its tragic incident, We all should pray that there should be minimum loss of life and all the passenger those were in plane should survive. We all pray to God to make some miracle that those who are still alive but the help they need can be reached to them for their survival. God is great and can do all impossible to possible.

Very sad and unfortunate indeed. May the souls rest in peace. The likely cause of the accident seems to be the poor weather conditions and the heavy fog accross much of Islamabad. The airline should have confirmed the weather before flying for Islamabad. It seems the decision was made to divert the flight at the last minute just before landing. The heavy fog and low altitude clouds could be the reason the pilot had not seen the Margalla hills clearly.
