I really don’t think people understand what tolerance really is. I am not siding with the people who made the anti-Islam film; far from it, I am completely against it. But that does not give anyone the right to bomb embassies and kill people.

If you look at the killings, from an Islamic point of view, if you kill one person, it is equivalent to killing the entire humanity. It is not at all according to the teachings of the religion and if people think this is what Islam is, then I don’t think they understand the religion.

Unfortunately, Muslims in different parts of the world have gone ahead and burnt flags and effigies.

Instead, governments should have invited people to huge seminars, saying, “Okay, that’s what you think Islam and the Prophet [PBUH] are, let’s talk.”
