Unwanted credit card

I am complaining against Dunia Finance, since they keep on sending statement of accounts for a credit card, which I had already settled and closed last year. When I received the first bank statement last month, I called and told them that the account is closed. I asked them to cancel it as I did not have anything to do with the account anymore.

Recently, I received another statement of account again, with an outstanding of Dh500. I wonder why Dunia Finance is not updating its system to show that this should not be possible.

Additionally, Aramex called me to say that they are going to deliver my credit card from Dunia Finance. I told them not to deliver it as I did not apply for it. Dunia Finance should not issue credit cards to anyone who did not apply for it. Imagine if someone gets the credit card and uses it without my knowledge - I would be charged for it!

The management of Dunia Finance responds:

Thank you for sharing our customer Mr Rivera’s query with us. We would like to confirm that we have reviewed Mr Rivera’s account, and have provided clarification regarding his card account held with us. As you are aware, we are unable to disclose specific resolution details in the interest of protecting the confidentiality of our customers’ personal and account-related information.

Mr Rivera responds:

Before Dunia Finance sent me statements of accounts they sent me a credit card through Aramex, but I refused it, and advised them to return it to Dunia Finance. Subsequently, I called Dunia Finance to cancel the card, since I never applied for it and they failed to inform me earlier that they are sending me a credit card. In January and February, they sent me statements of account. I just want to know why I am receiving these.

Dunia Finance responds:

We would like to confirm that we have contacted Mr Rivera and have provided detailed clarification regarding his card account held with us. As you are aware, we are unable to disclose specific resolution details in the interest of protecting the confidentiality of our customers’ personal and account-related information.
