Come September, Dubai will be hosting the International Private Schools Education Forum (IPSEF), during which a full report by the International School Consultancy (ISC) Group will reveal important details on private education in the UAE. The report’s initial highlights state that of the 982 international schools in the region, the UAE has the lion’s share — 439. The other countries in the region have the following numbers of international schools: Saudi Arabia 195, Qatar 130, Kuwait 80 and Oman 58.

The dominant role played by the UAE in this regard is significant and laudable because it is evidence of its foresight and vision. By meticulously nurturing an environment that enables education to thrive, the UAE has attracted some of the best names in private schooling to its shores. This has enabled it to enter into a mutually beneficial synergy with international pedagogical trends, a privilege that aids and enhances the lives of the vast diversity of expatriate parents who make the UAE their home. Having the choice of sending their child to any one of the best school systems available right at home is an invaluable advantage for the resident of any country.

The aggregation of the best schooling practices from around the world, and the harnessing of their benefits on the home soil of learning, is a rewarding strategy. In pursuing this, the UAE is grooming generations of young minds to be able to play decisive, progressive roles in the future, whether they be in the UAE or outside of it.
