Safety measures to avert fires
It is the only means with which future fires could be averted
The recent multiple fires that have erupted in a number of buildings across various emirates once again highlight the importance of looking into the issue with scrutiny.
This approach is the only means with which future fires could be averted and people's safety is ensured as a proper safety structure is implemented.
The fires that broke out recently in Abu Dhabi and Sharjah were swiftly dealt with, thanks to the prompt reaction of the authorities involved in each emirate.
Luckily, there were no human casualties in either case as firefighters and rescue teams ensured that the fires were contained in a timely manner.
But given the frequency of fires in recent times, it is critical that safety measures are introduced and their application is indeed carried out. This is a responsibility of all the respective authorities that are involved as the effect of introducing such a setup affects the public at large.
