The UAE has fast-growing populations of both Emiratis and expatriates and it needs lots of new school places. The young people are growing up in the UAE’s fast-moving modern economy and they are well aware of what will be required of them in the workplace and at home to be successful members of society.

However, the schools are struggling to keep up with the numbers and to offer more places to the young people of the future. It costs money to find the land and build the necessary structures. Education is handled at an emirate level, which is why it is important that the authorities in the different emirates need to be prepared to offer new schools cheap land as they are about to do in Abu Dhabi through the Education Council.

In addition, the authorities may be able to help with interest-free loans to help build new schools so that the schools do not pass on the financial burden of finding the new places to the parents, in the form of exorbitant fees.
