The new custom-built computerised service complex of Al Tayer Motors in the Al Gharoud area of Dubai was inaugurated by Shaikh Hasher Maktoum, Director of Dubai Department of Information. The complex, built at a cost of Dh8 million is one of the largest offering a comprehensive package of services under one roof built over an area of 85,000 square feet. Al Tayer Motors are the sole agents for the British-manufactured prestige car Jaguar in Dubai and the Northern Emirates and also for Austin Rover, Land Rover and Range Rover. Matar Al Tayer, Managing Director of Al Tayer Motors said that with the facility the company would be able to cope with the growing demand for sophisticated automobile servicing and repairs. Al Tayer Motors had been operating from their first facility built 18 years ago on the Dubai-Sharjah road and as the number of vehicles has grown in the region the expansion was necessary. At the new complex 57 vehicles can be handled simultaneously which will result in better customer service even if just the time factor is taken into consideration.
